When does the season start?
The season starts the second Tuesday of January each year. For 2012, the season will begin on January 10, 2012.
Where do you practice?
Practices are held at Eisenhower High School, 1321 N. Lilac Avenue, Rialto, CA 92376.
What days and times are practices?
The Recreation Team practices on Tuesday and Thursdays. All other teams practice Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Practice times are 6:00p - 7:30p for all teams. For more information regarding our different teams see our Team Information page
At what age can my child participate?
Athletes who will turn 6 by December 31 (season year) are eligible to participate up through age 18. Younger athletes (ages 4 or 5) may participate on a case by case basis. Younger athletes will be evaluated and must be able to complete the workouts.
Does my child have to know how to run?
No. The Rising Stars Track Club is a developmental team specializing in training athletes of all skill levels.
What is included in the registration fee?
- Recreation Team: Competition T-Shirt and training
- Training Team: Training only
- Club Team: Competition uniform, USA Track & Field Membership, training
- High School Team: Competition uniform, USA Track & Field Membership, training
What other items will my child need to participate?
All athletes should have a good pair of running shoes to practice in. Track spikes, warm-ups, and a track bag are recommended for Club level athletes and are available for purchase through the team.
What events do you offer?
Events include all running events from 100m - 3000m, hurdles, long jump, high jump, shot put, discus, javelin and the multi-events (Triathlon/Pentathlon).
Do you provide transportation to the meets?
No. Parents are responsible for their athlete's transportation to and from the meets.
How long are the track meets?
Track meets typically start at 8:00a.m. and will last into the evening hours. There are no set times for races just an order of events. The amount of time required for you to be at a track meet will depend on the events your child is participating in.
What age division would my child be in?
- Sub-Bantam: Born 2004 or later
- Bantam: 2002 - 2003
- Midget: 2000 - 2001
- Youth: 1998 - 1999
- Intermediate: 1996 - 1997
- Young Men/Women: 1994 - 1995
